The Dothan Wiregrass Art League is an extraordinary group of local artists who have a tremendous diversity of talent in their group. Because they are membership based, those artists who have chosen to join this group are capable of providing a variety of classes, demonstrations, and exhibits that showcase talents from around the Wiregrass Area. They have an excellent art supply store inside their classroom and teaching areas and can offer beginning as well as professional artists a tremendous discount on their supplies. They have ongoing classes and workshops throughout the year that are a bargain price compared to other art groups in the State. I highly recommend any artist, young or old, beginning or professional to check their organization out and to join. It benefits not only the up and coming artist, but it benefits students who will be pursuing a degree in art through college. This organization hands out at least 1-2 scholarships a year to students.
